CM Punk made his debut last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and wasted no time in becoming a highlight of AEW programming. He also has his own fair share of detractors. He didn’t have any backstage interaction with Adam Page before calling him out this week.
As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk kicked off the show with a promo. He called out Adam Page and issued a rematch to him for the title. However, Page never showed up, and CM Punk dubbed the entire thing as ‘less important.’
As previously reported, CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was not part of the plans and was a shoot. According to PW InsiderPunk didn’t have any backstage interaction with Adam Page before calling him out.
To the best of our knowledge, there was no interaction with Punk and Page before, during or after last night’s Dynamite backstage.
Adam Page already reacted to CM Punk’s call-out. It remains to be seen whether Punk and Page face each other again in a future program.
