WWE has an agreement with Hulu to broadcast the software on demand the next day, but that agreement will be implemented soon.
According to Sports wrestling, Vince McMahon’s company may be looking for an alternative to Hulu. Access to RAW and SmackDown will reportedly “expire in 2022 or at the end of 2021,” Hulu said.
Hulu did not answer any questions on this deal. It is said that the Peacock is “probably the buyer”. Now the NBCU streaming service had to wait 30 days for RAW and SmackDown to air, and the WWE Network had to sign the same contract because it had the right to hulu.
The next day programming at Peacock will be a very convenient service for some fans. We previously reported that VWN is using VPN for American fans who want to join the WWE network. The peacock may soon become even more important in the WWE program.
There are other potential buyers like Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Google, but they have to pay the WWE price for the programming. It also noted that “the value of next-day rights is a very small percentage compared to U.S. live rights.” This provides a real opportunity for any streaming platform that can claim to own WWE content the next day.
