NXT 2.0 has become the developmental WWE always wanted it to be. It appears that Vince McMahon has made up his mind that now is the right time to get the young and hungry NXT 2.0 talent out on the road so they can perform in front of a different crowd.

NXT has not had tours in a long time because the pandemic put the brakes on their live touring schedule. Also, WWE higher-ups didn’t believe the yellow brand would be a significant draw. The “Coconut Loop,” their famous run of Florida shows, went away and that talent misses the valuable experience.

According to POST Wresting, NXT would resume touring in June. WWE has reportedly decided on the month and plans to hold NXT house shows just in Florida for the time being.

“The live events are expected to resume in June with multiple sources speaking with POST Wrestling with knowledge of the internal schedule and stating that as of now, they would just be in Florida.”

Other than the Stand and Deliver show in Dallas, most of the young stars of the colorful brand haven’t wrestled in front of a different audience. Dave Meltzer previously stated that WWE has no plans to take NXT tours outside the state of Florida.

The NXT 2.0 roster is filled with insanely-talented stars who have yet to perform in house shows. Working non-televised shows is definitely a learning curve for performers not deemed ready for NXT TV.
