As the Jets approach training camp, I will review the list and give you my top 25 players. Every week we identify another person on the list and take them to camp. I don’t include rookies on this list because I don’t think it’s possible to fully evaluate them before playing a game.

If we look at 2020
Corey stopped the season last year due to injury and KOVID. He has appeared in 11 games for the Eagles, three of them. He suffered a knee injury in Week 1 and missed the next four games, then missed another game at the end of the season when he was on the COVID-19 list.
Corey was a rotation player in Philadelphia and played 28 percent of the defense. His playing time has been declining every year since 2017, when he started every game for the Eagles Super Bowl Championship team.
Corey clashed 16 times last year, with 10 midfielders, three sacks and a recovery. He was subjected to 25 pressures by the PFF.
The PFF ranked him 39th out of 108 runners.
The outlook for 2021
The Jets are looking for someone to play against Carl Lawson on the defensive line, and that could eventually turn out to be Corey. The Jets know their days in Philadelphia alongside GM Joe Douglas Curry. The Jets began signing Corey in 2020, but he was injured again in Philadelphia. This year, Douglas brought him to the Jets and he could have played an interesting role in the defense of Robert Salih.
The Jets passed a number of players at the end of the defense in the spring, including Corey. For Salih’s defense to work as intended, his line of defense must go around. Corey is now older, but she can take a long look at the training session and win her starting job. The Jets love what they’ve accomplished on the defensive line, adding Lawson and Sheldon Rankins to play alongside Quinen Williams. The last part they need to find is the other end of the defense. It wouldn’t be surprising if it ended with Corey.
