Dustin Poirier told Joe Rogan he walked around 180 pounds before losing weight in a rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 257. In this lightweight, the former interim champion appears to be a few pounds lower than he weighed in at 185 pounds.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, a Louisiana native said he typically weighs 18 pounds at the beginning of a fight week.
After winning the lightweight division against Max Holloway at UFC 236 in April 2019, Dustin Poirier said on Twitter the night of the fight that he weighed 176 pounds.
MMA legend Nate Diaz recently challenged Dustin Poire to a £ 185 fight. The Stockton native posted a photo on Twitter of himself and Dustin Poirier facing each other, calling the middleweight “Diamond.”
“Weighing 185lbs.” Written by Nate Diaz.
The Louisiana native said he had beaten Diaz in any weight class and didn’t take long to respond.
“I could touch you at any weight.” said Dustin Pueri.
The point to note in this announcement is that Dias called for the fight to be held in the UFC’s middleweight division at 185 pounds. But neither he nor Diamond has ever competed in this weight class.
During his career, Stockton Slugger competed in the light (155lb) and middleweight (170lb) divisions. Poirier competed in the lightweight (145lb) and lightweight (155lb) sections.
So, at Diaz’s call, it’s safe to assume that the 36-year-old doesn’t want to lose weight and wants to fight at the weight he’s spinning.
Apparently, Dustin Poiri is tired of losing weight because he recently even asked Conor McGregor to fight UFC 264 trilogy at middleweight.
“I Walked at 190” – Dustin Poirier details his heavyweight experience in weight loss
Dustin Poiri shared his terrific experience of losing weight on his heavy days while talking to UFC commentator Joe Rogan. Poirier said:
“It was horrible. It made me hate the process because my quality of life was absorbed. You know, the training camps were tortured … I was walking at 190.” [pounds].
Diamond is currently competing in the UFC lightweight division, and is now the number one contender in the division. He is expected to fight undefeated lightweight champion Charles Oliveiro for the belt soon.
