As we learned earlier in the week, the legendary Dudley Boys are no longer working together. According to D-Vaughn, he wishes “only good” to his brother Kayfabe.
According to D-Von, the split occurred in 2016 when the team was offered a contract by WWE. D-Von claimed to have signed the contract, but Bubba denied it.
D-Vaughn said, “They gave both of them a contract. I signed it. He didn’t want to sign it and it left an unpleasant taste in their mouths.” because of the diversity of opinions.
After an incredible success through ECW, WWE and Impact and an independent era, the team opened Team 3D Academy in Florida. Since the divorce, every wrestler has run their own school.
Bubba currently runs a wrestling school in Connecticut. D-Von stayed in Florida to run his own school. If you listen to what D-Vaughn has to say, the divorce seemed friendly.
Bubba’s daughter-in-law, Velvet Sky, tweeted when she saw something different. Sky reiterated the link to the divorce story, citing D-Won’s positive remarks about the split.
“Fiction can be fun … lol, if you only knew the truth. Because that’s not the case,” Sky explained in a retweet. About an hour later, he deleted the tweet. Bubba Ray Dudley did not comment on the incident or the Velvet deleted tweet.
