Vince McMahon has a lot of things going on while running the WWE. It takes a certain formula of consistency and determination to really achieve something in WWE, because it’s a hard thing to capture McMahon’s interest. This is something that Tucker realizes now, but it was a revelation that came to him too late.
while talking to OTR showTucker discussed meeting with Vince McMahon about gimmicks and story ideas. He had an idea for a BBQ angle, which McMahon liked. There was a lot going on within the company during that time and as a result that idea was shelved.
Tucker later realized that he learned how the WWE system worked too late for him to do anything good.
“We had some great meetings with Vince. We touched on some ideas and he seemed to like them. He was loving the idea of barbecue. I think the timing was just, it’s all about timing there. We put it there. Liked and he really liked it, but it was around Fox’s move, so I guess there were a lot of other things going on and it just fell by the wayside. Maybe we were so new to the pedals Didn’t understand enough to put my foot in and keep pressing which channel. It was definitely a thing I learned but it was too late to learn how the machine worked. That’s why I keep saying culture shock. “
“It’s so much bigger than one machine. It’s like whole buildings. It’s like all these different apartments. And you have to try to figure out what everyone else does and how to work with them and make them feel like you. How to help and how to help make their job easier. So it was like, when I say culture shock, like three and a half hundred people or something, when you count all the production people, who Comes and goes. So imagine you’re new people walking into the building with four hundred people. They’re all meeting each other every week, doing this thing, and now trying to assimilate you into that. Have to do it, find your way and meet everyone.”
We’ll have to see what Tucker does next. He has years of experience with WWE under his belt, but those spotlights haven’t hit him as often as he would have liked. His 90-day non-compete clause is still running for a short time, but if he ends up at another company, he’s already learned a lot about how to make sure he gets a story every week. holds on.
What do you think of Tucker’s behavior in WWE? Could they have done better by that? Sound off in the comments!
