On Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” Disney night, contestants had to show off their inner animated heroes.
Basketball star Iman Shumpert let it go and was amazed at the “frozen” dance! Matt James looked up icy as Frozone on the dance floor! It was Miz wonderful, glorious, glorious and Completely blue like Aladdin’s jinn! Jojo Siva dropped his glass shoes and waltzed charmingly to the prince!
The Disney celebration was intensified as Judge Derek Hoff missed last week’s show due to the COVID-19 protocol, dancers Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke returned from quarantine and hit the hall again.
But like every Disney movie, there was a contradiction. On Monday, it was Tom Bergeron’s note. A past interview with the still-famous DWTS host, who discussed the July 2020 shooting, was leaked ahead of the show’s time.
Here’s what happened on and off Disney’s dance floor:
At DWTS last week:Cheryl Burke, Cody Rigsby is out of the house alone because of the “weird times” COVID-19 in the dance competition.
JoJo Siva participates in the “Dancing with the Stars” contest with his same-sex partner: “We make history”
Tom Bergeron “shook his head” with show producers before the shooting
During a Sept. 13 podcast, Bergeron said he was fired after 28 seasons, long before he and Erin Andrews switched to chief executive producer / solo star Tyra Banks.
“The end of the 2019 season was my last season, I knew,” Bergeron said in part of his “Bob Saget is here” podcast. “So I took everything I wanted out of my dressing room. It was clear we were somehow shaking our heads.”
The original DWTS host pointed to public criticism that he had named 2019 former White House spokesman Sean Spicer as the key to his exit.
“I didn’t think a political man was a worthy order for the show,” Bergeron said. “I don’t think it was liked by the producers or the network.”
However, he and his former host, Andrew, who joined in 2014, kept a smile on the TV audience. “I can break it down into parts,” Bergeron explained. “Erin and I enjoyed our dismissal more than almost anyone.”
Background:Tyra Banks is the new starter of “Dancing with the Stars,” replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.
Jojo Siva opens the prince’s charming channel to dance the waltz
The 18-year-old YouTube star has chosen to spend DWTS history with her same-sex partner, renowned dancer Jenna Johnson. After dancing in costumes for a few weeks, the duo took a Cinderella spin on Monday night – Princess Siva danced charmingly, while Johnson wore a dress called “Cinderella” to the Viennese waltz.
When Siva screamed after the dance, “I was more excited than being a prince.” The dance was a TV show, with elegant twists in front of the pink castle. Siva, after a deep bow, threw Johnson into the cradle.
Judge Bruno Tonioli declared it the “21st Century Vienna Waltz” and shouted, “You two are a dream.”
Kerry praised Ann Inaba’s power dynamics. “You’ve shown the whole world that girls can do anything guys can, maybe even better.”
The referees ’9 points came out for the first time this season as the duo waltzed to the top of the lead.
Iman Shumpert presents a fantastic foxtrot and his “frozen” children
Shumpert was graced Monday with a “let go” from “frozen” – yes, an elegant dance. But Shumpert’s true story of “handing over” his two children with his wife, Teyana Taylor, further amazed the studio audience.
“I was Dr. Shump,” said the 6-foot-5 ballerina, until 2015, when pregnant Taylor began giving birth prematurely. Shumpert was forced to deliver his daughter, 5-year-old Iman Tayla, in the bathroom. During the broadcast, 911 heard an ambulance call and suffered more from a heart attack, while Shumpert heard the phrase “this is a little girl.”
“Dr. Shump did it again,” in 2020, Shumpert contributed to the birth of his second daughter, Rue Rose, at the age of 1, with water at home.
Naturally, both of his daughters are “frozen” fans, and with Faith, DWTS viewers will delight their father.
After Shumpert was destroyed with great grace along with his partner Daniella Karagach on the dance floor, the judge (and frequent critic) Len Goodman concluded: “It’s clear you’re great at handing over. You’ve delivered a really great foxtrot.” .
Like a fearsome basketball referee, somehow Goodman gave Schumpert a low 6 points under praise. The rest of the judges were above 8 points.
We call him “Jean,” “Matt James.” incredible As Frozone
Of course, there was a dance competition on Monday night. But the real question was: Who won the DWTS Disney Night costume contest?
Mike “Miz” Mizanin seemed shirtless as he changed from “Aladdin” to “A Friend Like Me” and “Jin” for his sincere samba. The whole blue makeup is so common that her partner Whitney Carson couldn’t literally dance close to her, otherwise her princess Jasmine costume would be painted blue. And as the weeks go by, the magic footwork of the WWE star will also improve. Check it out.
Olivia Jade produced heat from “The Lion King” with a samba called Nala to “I Just Can’t Expect to Be King”. The judges noted that with his partner Val Chmerkovsky, chemistry was growing, and he was dressed in Simba. As the Host Banks put it, “you are both well connected”.
But from a costume standpoint, you can’t deny “bachelor” Matt James’s attention to detail. He was a dead bell for Frozone in The Incredibles, and even had a superhero leotard. Pro-partner Lindsay Arnold joined her in the best outfit of the Edna mode on the dance floor, and James never stumbled during hard work, even though he was holding Frozone glasses while walking fast. The dance ended with James Frozone throwing candies with sharp ice. (Stopped the competition near Darn.)
And they all lived a happy life … until now.
The Evil One will continue in a special episode of Disney Villains Night on October 12 in “Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 EDT / PDT). He will be disqualified tomorrow.
