TikTok mourns the death of the influential Candice Merley.
The 36-year-old woman died mysteriously on Sunday, days after she claimed “the voices in her head were silent.”
“We received news that no one wanted to hear, and tonight we lost a large part of our family, my sister Candice,” Murley’s sister, Marsha McEvoy, confirmed as the star passed through GoFundMe. “It was very unexpected and our hearts were broken. Candice was very lively and always lived a unique life.
As of Thursday morning, the fundraiser raised more than $ 17,000, which McEvoy will use to cover Murley’s funeral. At the same time, the remaining cash will be “trusted [Murley’s] son Maxwell, ”on page.
The ruined brothers did not disclose the cause of Murley’s death. However, two days before he passed, the mother of one child uploaded an 8-second video in which she said, “I hate that the voices in my head are silent because I don’t know what these f-kers are.”
The anxious track followed a series of clips around the festivities, among which Murley played with his cat Stash and brewed a beer wishing the audience a “Happy New Year”.
At the time of his death, Murley had more than 27,000 followers. Suffice it to say, TikTok had his own theories as to what caused the tragic death of the late influential.
Some speculated that Murley had died of “addiction” and punished the peanut gallery for glorifying his addiction.
“A lot of people here really pay attention to online bullying and the negative reviews that Candice gets,” writes a user named Not Benard. “Yes, that was a major problem, of course, but please don’t ignore the fact that it clearly shows how mental illness, addiction, and drug abuse problems can affect a person.”
The commentator added: “What’s going on here if you’ve been watching him lately and say‘ He’s just having fun ’or‘ He looked very happy ’and‘ What if he’s addicted to drugs or alcohol ’? he has to think about it. Understand that not only negative comments can be harmful, but also when people die. ”
Meanwhile, others have claimed to be guilty of cyberbullying. Fortunately, most of the posters expressed condolences.
“Actually, I was shocked and upset by this news,” one crooked commentator said. “Candice has never shown herself as anyone else.”
Another wrote: “Calm down[y] Candice, I’ve always been happy to see your bell and kitten.[y] I offer my condolences to your family. “
McEvoy described her sister as a person “full of enthusiasm and who loves to dance and listen to music”.
“More than anything in her world, she loved her son and family so much that we can’t forget her cat, Stash,” McEvoy writes. “We know he’s dancing in the sky right now. We all know how much he believes in heaven. He’s definitely there.”
Praising the heartbroken brothers Murley for having TikTok, he wrote: “He had fans like no other, he had great fun with dancing and cooking, and he sang with a microphone. Let’s not forget. ”
“Let’s review all of his videos and keep them as souvenirs so we can smile as we deal with this loss,” he added. “He will be missed by many.”
