Notorious BIG’s old apartment has been renovated

Biggie died in 1997 and the apartment was sold to a happy buyer. In 2011, he worked on costume designer Carolyn Duncan – including a producer When they see us and The work – bought the property and repaired it from floor to ceiling.

Duncan talked about the 2021 renovation in an interview with The New York Post. The renovation includes a library room, bookcases and cabinets, a new kitchen and much more.

“When I moved in, the basement was a space covered with concrete floors,” he said honestly. “I framed and laid all the walls and created a large closet, laundry room and bedroom to showcase my collection of wood and modern decorative bathroom, clothes and accessories.”

“The top floor was carved into several puzzle rooms, so I did the opposite and knocked down all the walls to create a high wall,” he continued. “I liked the neighborhood, the proximity to Fort Green Park, the fact that this building is on the historic register and the bones of a real artist’s residence.”

In 2021, Duncan put the house up for sale for $ 1.7 million.
