As the Fourth of July approaches, streaming platforms are full of camp-themed movies that will make you feel like you’re roasting marshmallows over a fire, or sunbathing by the lake—without the raves and bug bites. K.

Here, the best camping-themed movies to watch this weekend, while you chill on the couch.

“Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp”

The prequel to the 2001 classic comedy, “First Day of Camp,” sees the original cast playing younger versions of their characters—despite looking undeniably older in real life. Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks in the Stacked Cast Bradley Cooper, Christopher Meloni, among others, as well as some newcomers such as Chris Pine.

Meanwhile, the original “Wet Hot” movie is also streaming on Hulu. Double Feature Time!

“Parental Trap”

1998 film that made Lindsey lohan Hailey as twins separated from their very different, and secretive, divorced parents, Nick (performed by Denise) when they meet at camp and are shocked to learn of the other’s existence. and Annie (both played with victory by Lohan) follow. Quaid) and Liz (Natasha Richardson). The film features everything from camp pranks to sister bonding to an ambitious evil stepmother to satisfying twin-switches.

“Sleepaway Camp”

The original “Sleepaway Camp” is campy in more ways than one. The 1983 slasher flick — whose cast hasn’t exactly gone on to stardom — features a series of murders in a sleepy camp. Mayhem ensues, and its infamous final twist makes it the stuff of over-the-top horror legend.

“Moonrise Kingdom”

The 2012 Wes Anderson flick follows Sam (Jared Gilman), a 12-year-old orphan boy who flees Camp Ivanhoe to visit his pen mate, setting off a chain reaction as the local Khaki scouts discover it. As always, Anderson battles a cast of screen-stealing stars, including Bruce Willis, Francis McDormand, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton and more.

“camp Rock”

In the mood for family friendly music? And don’t look. This 2008 movie is about Mitchie (Demi Lovato), an aspiring singer attending a musicians’ camp. Jonas Brothers – that, nick and kevin – Co-star as members of an adorable musical trio (Big Vibe).
