Sting is considered a legend in the pro wrestling world, who made a mark in numerous companies throughout his career. Sting would then shock the world after debuting in AEW back in December 2020. The AEW star and wrestling legend has applied for a new trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

According to USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) documents, Sting submitted a trademark application for his signature “Icon” term. Surprisingly, the trademark application concentrates on the term’s use with energy drinks and related items. The description of the filing for “Icon” can be found below.

Energy drinks; Energy drinks containing caffeine; Energy drinks enhanced with vitamins, minerals, or nutrients; Non-alcoholic drinks, namely, energy shots.

Stinger has also registered trademarks for his face-paint design and scorpion emblem, both of which have been linked with him for the majority of his career. Clothing, action figures, entertainment, and energy drinks were all mentioned in both papers. The papers could eventually be a means for Sting to safeguard his brand, given there is already a “Sting Energy Drink” on the market.

There are also detox drinks and other goods with the same name as the AEW star. On the March 28th episode of Dynamite, Sting teamed up with Darby Allin and The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) to defeat Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen), The Butcher, and The Blade in an eight-man tornado tag match. Sting joined Darby Allin to the ring this week on Dynamite, like he normally does, when Darby faced Jeff Hardy one-on-one.
