Stevie Knicks used cocaine frequently while touring with Fleetwood Mac

In the ’80s, Knicks used cocaine so hard that he had a hole in his nose. Doctors eventually said he could die of a brain hemorrhage if he swallowed the drug again. He wrote the song “Mabel Normand” about a silent movie star who died of tuberculosis as a result of years of cocaine use.

After writing the song, Nick Betty checked in at the Ford Clinic for rehabilitation. He found himself in Normandy and therefore cared about his health.

“I survived me. I survived cocaine. I survived myself,” he said on the podcast. In addition to impact radio. “I checked myself for rehabilitation. No one did it for me. I did it, and it’s like my whole life.”

He regrets only one thing in his life

After his release from rehabilitation, the psychiatrist ordered Knicks a Klonopin tranquilizer to help him sleep and give up cocaine.

“It’s a very delicate drug; You don’t feel it much or think so. The bottle says, “Take it when you need it.” That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, “he told The Guardian. “So you think, ‘I need it every two hours.’ It’s a bottle of drugs.”

During this time, Nick says, the tranquilizer deprived him of his creative energy and encouraged him to write hopeless words.

“It wasn’t time at all. I was just there,” he explained. “It took away my wonderful drama, my storms, my compassion, my sympathy – everything that led me to the piano.” I say to myself, “How did you live eight years without great drama?”

Eventually, he regrets using Clonopine for eight years because of what he was capable of. He feels like the drug has stolen time.

“I always look back and think: what could I have done in that time? Fleetwood created a Mac album or a solo record. I could have married or had children or adopted. Tell me, if anyone puts you in Clonopine.” if you want to eat, scream and run out of the room.

Now Stevie Knicks is completely awake

Nick used Klonopin from 1986 to 1994. Since then, he says, he has stopped using drugs and alcohol.
