Steve Belichik is less interested in his new fame on social media.
The Patriots head coach Bill Belichik’s son-in-law, a longtime defender at his father’s headquarters, became the subject of a viral mem parade when New England defeated the Tampa Bay Buckaners 19-17 on Oct. 3.
Fans filled Twitter with explicit photos depicting Belichik’s long hairstyle, which reflected her vibrant faces — that’s her hairstyle.
“Yeah, I’ve heard of it,” he said when asked about memes on Tuesday.
“I saw some of these things. I mean, I couldn’t do anything about it. I didn’t know. It’s just what you see. But, yes, I mean, I don’t know. There were good ones. But I I heard about it. “
Belichik added that former Patriots safety Patrick Chung learned about memes written by fans.
“So he thought it was funny,” Belichick said of Chung. “Yes, it was an eventful afternoon for the family, so there was a lot going on outside of football. But he understood that, so he stayed calm.”
Belichik joined his father’s staff in 2012, and his brother Brian Belichik is also the Patriots ’safety coach.
New England (2-3) will host Dallas on Sunday (4-1).
