The artist (real name Annie Clark) told James Corden his story Late late show yesterday (January 4) before his live performance “Dad’s house” track “… on a weekend night”.
Clark recalled how McCartney connected with him after he added a remix of last year’s song “Women and Wives.” “McCartney III imagined”.
“I handed in the song and I was nervous to hear what Paul was thinking,” he told Corden.
“Then I was driving around town and I saw a random +44 number [come up on her phone] From England. I picked him up and it was Paul McCartney … he called me and he was the cutest man on the planet.
“He said he liked the background vocals [of the remix] “That’s what I did, Paul,” I said, and the solo guitar said, “It was me, Paul!” I did it all, Paul! It was a real pleasure. ”
Clark continued: “Then I tried to compliment him: [it’s] it’s hard to say any compliments he hasn’t heard before. But I said what I said as sincerely and sincerely as I said myself.
