Forgive me, father!

The Spanish archbishop apologized to the rapper for recording a ridiculous music video inside a 13th-century cathedral.

A steamy clip released on YouTube last Thursday is for Anton Tanvarez’s song “Atheist,” with his popular name C. Tangana.

Alvarez, 31, will appear in the clip alongside Argentine singer and songwriter Neti Peluso, 26, who will also provide vocals on the track.

The words “atheist” include the words: “I was an atheist, but now I believe, because a miracle like yours was to come down from heaven.”

In the four-minute thrilling clip, Alvarez and Peluso quarrel with each other at St. Mary’s Church in Toledo while the priests are secretly watching.

Toledo Archbishop Francisco Cerro says he has “deep remorse” that a clip of the “Atheist” song was filmed inside the cathedral.

In one scene, Alvarez is depicted pointing to Peluso’s hair, instead of being photographed inside the cathedral, with his head cut off and naked.

Toledo Archbishop Francisco Cerro asks the parishioners to show him mercy after the clip caused Catholic outrage.

Cerro said he was “deeply sorry” for the incident, but “absolutely unaware of the existence of this project, its content and the end result.”

“We humbly and sincerely apologize to both the faithful and the priests who felt hurt by the misuse of the sanctuary,” he added in a statement from the Tablet.

“He also announced a special public meeting to be held to justify the sins, and promised that the cathedral would no longer be used in this way,” the publication wrote.

Meanwhile, the dean of the cathedral, Juan Miguel Ferrer Greneshe, said officials had turned on the green light to record inside the cathedral in hopes of “promoting communication with modern culture”.

He argued that the “atheist” presented the story of “conversion through love,” but admitted that “provocative visual language” was used in the video.

He hoped the cathedral would “encourage communication with modern culture.”

“I know some people are upset,” he said. We apologize for hurting their feelings. The goal was only to respect the church’s beliefs and encourage communication with modern culture, ”he said.

“Atheist” has been viewed more than 5.7 million times on YouTube, and while that has caused outrage, most viewers have left brutal comments in the comments section.

“What a video! Congratulations,” said one.

“Absolute shock and Peluso’s movements couldn’t be more appealing!” shouted again.

Alvares and Peluso have not yet responded to the controversy.
