Sony Interact Entertaint CEO Jim Ryan says the best games are the ones players remember the most.

In a conversation with TMTPOST, Ryan noted that “users only remember the best games and OK games can be forgotten”. For Ryan, it’s a game that can “evoke the unique emotions of the players, for example, that excite the players, rush the adrenaline or make them happy or upset”.

Ryan points out that he sees the new IPs as an important factor in any of Sony’s successes above. “New IP is the lifeblood of any entertainment industry, but creating a new IP is very difficult …”

“I’m very happy that we’ve been able to do that in the last few years, but it takes a lot of courage and the courage to take on financial risks. It also takes confidence in the studio,” Ryan added.

The conversation also highlighted how Sony continues to buy the studios, which Ryan said the company and the studio already have a working relationship with.

“One of the commonalities of these acquired studios is that we have established a business relationship with them for several years before the acquisition, which means we understand them more deeply.”

“We know their mode of operation, their advantages and development opportunities, as well as where they need to improve, which makes it easier for the studios to merge. The process has never been easier, but it’s better than buying some studios we don’t know, ”he adds.

In other news, game director Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart Marcus insists the game must be “loyal to the franchise.”adding, this difficulty stemmed from the simultaneous rediscovery of the series.
