Neve Campbell came into contact with Mother Nature as a teenager when she was attacked by a bear at the filming location, the “Scream” star said at a recent talk show.

While promoting the latest film of the horror film franchise, The Cry, on the Kelly Clarkson Show, Campbell shared details of the horrific incident that happened when the then-17-year-old Campbell was filming with host Kelly Clarkson. Canada.

“I played this role‘ along with the animals ’and in the same scene I had to be chased by a bear,” Campbell told Clarkson without naming the film. “They brought this bear to the photo shoot and first gave me a big bottle of cola to feed. So now it’s like a sugar bear in a hurry. “

He continued, “And then they said – and I’m 17, so I’m really dumb – they said,‘ Dip your hand in the honey and just run, and when you get to the tree there, turn around and stick your hand out. stretch and look at the bear. And I really want to make everyone happy, “Good”. ”

However, the attempt at a dangerous stuntman did not go as planned for the former “Five Party” star.

“I turned around and held out my hand and the bear wasn’t slowing down and he wasn’t coming at my hand,” Campbell said. “He grabbed my leg and pulled me through the woods and my mom accidentally visits the pack, so she screams. The whole crew froze because no one believed what was happening.

“The only thing I could say was, ‘He’s biting me,’ as if it wasn’t clear.”

Luckily for Campbell, the bear warrior in the photo threw a stone at the bear and rescued him, which allowed Campbell to escape and find shelter on a nearby rocky outcrop. Despite a close call, Campbell said he was ready to give the stunt a second time: “No, it was an exercise,” he said shortly after the incident. “We didn’t get it on camera: Let’s do it.”

Although Campbell had given up the bizarre encounter as part of the actor trade – “We’re required to do really stupid things” – Clarkson said the situation would have been resolved differently.

“Actors are very different from musicians; I can’t say enough about that, “said Clarkson. “If I was in a music video and it didn’t work, I’d say ‘Goodbye,'” Campbell replied, “so do I.”

The latest installment of Scream, which is currently being shown in theaters, finds not only the image of Campbell’s wife and mother, Sidney Prescott, but also a fearless hero.

“The possibility of a threat to your child takes his or her strength to another level,” Campbell said. “Oh, it’s great to go with Sydney, there was no doubt anymore. He never doubts, but he has to take care of it because Ghostface could come for his family.
