The husband of former Playboy player Loren Anderson recalled the horrific incident that forced former MLB player Reed Brignak to revive him when he visited him in spring training.

“He saved my life, not a joke,” he said on Carton & Roberts on Friday.

Anderson and Brignac met at the time, and he visited the infiltrator in the spring training session with the team that chose him – Rice – in the second round of the 2004 MLB draft (overall 45th place).

“I was in his shower and lost consciousness. I wasn’t addicted or anything like that, I just experienced a lot of stress, ”he said.

“He had to come in and revive me, he and his roommate Fernando Perez, his teammate at Rice in the spring training session, had to bring me back to life. He did not find a pulse. I left, no pulse, nothing. After a few days, my hands became numb. “

Anderson said he thought it was “a few minutes” before Brignak found him in the shower. She said doctors later said her blood pressure had dropped to a “dangerous level” and confirmed she was not pregnant at the time.

“Imagine him, a 23-year-old, trying to make a name for himself in the big leagues … Then this Playboy player comes in and dies in the shower,” he joked about his boyfriend at the time.

Reid Brignac saved the life of his then-girlfriend, Lauren Anderson, during a visit to spring training.

Reed Brignak played for the Yankees in 2013.

The situation did not affect the couple’s chemistry, as they eventually tied the knot in 2010. Anderson and Brignak had two sons, the younger Reid and Jays.

Brignac announced his retirement from professional baseball in July 2018 after training with the Rice, Rockies, Yankees, Phillies, Marlins and Braves teams.

On January 6, he was appointed governor Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Double-A branch of the New York Mets.

He was previously the manager of St. Lucia Mets, the Mets ’Low-A branch, after serving as manager of the Columbia Fireflies, the Mets’ Single-A branch.
