The Falcons beat the Jet 20-2 in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Anyway, it was a baseball game. The Mets were defeated by the NL’s Eastern rival, the Braves, and as a result, their split was reduced to two games. David Peterson lost another pitcher due to injury, he was shot. It was another day when the bats did nothing. All of this comes with the first installment of the Metro series coming this weekend in the Bronx.
To talk about Wednesday’s explosion and look forward to the Mets-Yankees series starting on Friday, we present to you a special edition of the Amazin ’but True podcast with Nelson Figueroa and me, a crossover segment with the Pinstripe Pod hosts of this post. Jeff Nelson and Chris Shearn.
Amazin ‘But True Podcast with Jake and Figgi:
- LOSS ANSWER: The match will be a shame for Braves on Wednesday. David Peterson came on with another injury to the Mets. The Mets need bats to start surviving or they will run into trouble. NL East leads just two games. The Mets need to buy another starting mug right now because the depth isn’t there.
Interview with Jeff Nelson, Chris Shearn:

- History of sububey series: Remembering some memorable events from the past years, including the 1999 hit against Matt Franco, Luis Castillo dropped the pop-up and, of course, the 2000 World Series.
- Preview of the series: These series of games are hitting and their division is declining. The Yankees are in serial mode where they have to win as their season begins to slip. This is a big series for both teams.
