“Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute” isn’t as clean as his neat-freak “Full House” character, Danny Tanner, would’ve liked. But it’s the perfect, racy sendoff for the late comedian.

Saget’s friends and family gathered at Los Angeles’ standup mecca The Comedy Store in late January –just weeks after his death – for the 84-minute special, now streaming on Netflix. Saget, best known for playing a single dad to three daughters on ABC’s family sitcom “Full House,” was found in his Orlando hotel room on Jan. 9 with a head injury. He was 65.

“Dirty Daddy” assembles Saget’s comedy spokespersons, including Chris Rock, Jim Carrey, Jeff Ross, “Full House” co-star John Stamos and musicians John Mayer and Jackson Browne, who perform in the special. Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, helps launch the tribute, after being encouraged by Carrey to “Keep it short.”

From ‘Full House’ to NSFW comedy, Bob Saget’s best career moments show why he was so loved

Rizzo, who married Saget in 2018, says he would bring her to The Comedy Store, and excitedly give her a tour, promising to show her “all the places that people did coke in the 80s. ‘ There were a lot of stops on the tour about that. ”

“The most important thing to him was belonging to this club, being a comedian,” she says. “I know he would be – he is so honored right now. He would love this. I know he’s looking down, and he’s so happy. ”

Rizzo’s speech mirrors the tone of the tribute, encompassing both humor and heart. Here are the best jokes and most touching moments from the special.

Michael Keaton’s bold bit, Dave Chappelle’s desire to ‘impress’

Michael Keaton, in a recorded message played for the audience, pretends not to know what the video was for.

“Hey, happy birthday, Bobby!” the “Dopesick” actor begins with a wide grin. Informed of Saget’s death by a person off camera, Keaton offers, “OK, let me see if I can work up some fake tears here,” but he gets “nothing.”

Becoming more sincere, Keaton says, “I guess I could say something like,‘ Every time, and I mean every time you would run into this guy, if you weren’t laughing just looking at him, looking at that face, you couldn’t help but smile. ”

Bob Saget tributes:John Mayer and Jeff Ross tearfully reflect on comedian’s life

Jim Carrey, far left, John Stamos, Darren Criss, Chris Rock, John Mayer and Jeff Ross gather at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles to remember their dear friend Bob Saget.

Saget is “America’s dad’s not a convicted rapist,” Rock says, in a joke about Bill Cosby, whose sexual assault conviction was overturned last year.

And Rock also had quite the quip for Carrey: “I think it’s sad that (he) had to die to get Jim Carrey back onstage,” Rock says. “If this is the only way we’re gonna see you perform, I’m gonna kill Eddie Murphy next week.”

‘Can’t you issue an executive order?’ Joe Biden pressed by Jimmy Kimmel on gun control:

Those on-hand to celebrate Bob Saget’s life - Jim Carrey, Jeff Ross, Chris Rock, John Mayer and John Stamos - pose for a picture.

Dave Chappelle appears in footage from a memorial held at “Full House” creator Jeff Franklin’s home, praising Saget as “probably the single kindest person I’ve ever met.” I would forget all kinds of things that I used to think about all the time … Little (things), like being Black. ”

Chappelle remembers wanting to get Saget’s attention at Mayer’s house by putting psychedelic mushrooms in a cappuccino maker. “I would’ve never done that if I didn’t see Bob Saget and said,‘ I’m gonna impress this (guy). I’m gonna do some ‘shrooms.’ ”

Saget ‘a cathedral of love’ for Jim Carrey

Stamos says he’s still not ready to let his longtime friend go because the loss “doesn’t seem real.” Instead, he pictures Saget killing it on his comedy tour and calling Rizzo after finishing a set, in which they both say they miss each other. “And he gets back to the hotel, and he puts his head on the pillow, and he misses us. And he dreams of seeing us all again one day. And he’s smiling. ”

Carrey says “Bob wasn’t something that was taken away from us. He was something that was given to us … You created a cathedral of love in this world, and that was your life, Bob Saget. A cathedral of love, a cathedral of laughter, goodness, light. ”

Jim Carrey wraps his arms around fellow funny man Jeff Ross in a plush coat that Ross jokes was "willed to him from Joan Rivers."

Introduced by Stamos as “Bob’s second-best friend,” Mayer emphasizes the importance of Saget accepting his pals. “Acceptance is the boring part of love, but it’s just as important when you’re accepted.”

“Bob liked me because I was already kind of a poet, and he could say whatever he wanted because I wasn’t gonna go, ‘Alright, that’s weird,'” says Mayer. “Because all I do is speak in metaphors no one’s heard before.”

Mayer says a recent dream about Saget left him in tears. Mayer, knowing Saget would soon die, stressed how much he loved his friend. Mayer tells the audience, “It is not a jump to go from here to (the afterlife) because there is nothing different about the way we access the people we love when they’re there than when they’re here, and that is the magic of Bob Saget that keeps carrying on for me. ”
