Naturist, 86, looking for garden to use each week so he can ‘frolic naked’

A NATURIST is searching for a garden to use for a few hours each week so he can frolic around naked.

Stuart Haywood, 86, who started going naked in 2008, is hoping to hire a secluded backyard to continue his hobby of baring all – and will share his gardening tips in return.

Before becoming a naturist at the age of 72, Stuart had only ever been naked in front of his 91-year-old wife Rhona.

He has been visiting Lakeside Farm Naturist Holidays, near Skegness, for two weeks every year with Rhona – who isn’t a naturist.

The couple, who have been married for more than 50 years, even renewed their wedding vows there – with the vicar also in the buff.

But Stuart, a retired accountant and greengrocer, said the journey to Skegness is now “arduous” and wants to stay closer to home.

He’s now hoping to find a willing Brit to share their garden with him so he can still strip off.

“It is with great regret that Rhona and I will not be returning to Lakeside Naturist resort this year,” Stuart told Staffordshire Live.

“We both find the travel and paraphernalia of preparing too arduous. We are 91 and 86.

“Rhona is not a naturist but I would like to find someone with a secluded garden who would allow me access to it for a few hours per week to allow me to follow my interest.

“In return I am willing to share my knowledge of gardening (roses in particular), and local history, sports history and anything which may be interesting to the garden owners.

“We could come to some arrangement regarding monetary costs.”

Stuart, from Midway in Derbyshire, got into naturism when he went to a life drawing art class with a naked model and thought “I can do that”.

He believes “you’re never too old to be naked and should never be ashamed of your body”.

And he said he’s never embarrassed to be naked in front of other like-minded people and spending his holiday without wearing any clothes makes him happy.

But Stuart said he’s never naked at home.

“We live in a bungalow with houses all around us and a pathway right near our window,” he said.

“Our garden is also surrounded by houses so I think when I go to Lakeside it just enhances my enjoyment.

“I have a lift in spirits when I take my clothes off. It is a sense of freedom.”

Anyone who is happy to share their garden with Stuart should email stuart.haywood283@gmail.com.
