National frontman Matt Berninger shared the cover Velvet undergroundI’m waiting for the man. The original version of the performance proto-punk icons was recorded as part of an upcoming set of covers celebrated by Verve Records.
Although the studio version was presented for the first time, this is not the first time that Berninger has shared his thoughts on the song. In November last year, he performed it live as part of the look day “Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon.
In March, he released the cover of Velvet Underground’s “Son of Europe.” A luxury edition of the debut album Serpentine Prison.

“I will be your mirror: Respect to Velvet Underground & Nico” was announced earlier this month by the cover of “Run Run Run.” Kurt Vile. Released on September 24, it is part of other compilers Iggy Pop, Sharon Van Etten, Michael Stip, St. Vincent, Courtney Barnett and others.
Recently, Velvet Underground became the subject of a documentary by director Todd Haynes. Watch the movie, wrote: “The common story of Todd Haynes’s documentary is that Lou Reed clung to a repeated hand comment at the beginning of the film, in which he told the head of a record-breaking company that his goal was to“ get rich and be a rock star in any case. ”
Meanwhile, Berner released his debut solo album “Serpentine Prison” in October last year. A deluxe edition of two new originals and four covers appeared in March.
