Justin Duggar left Arkansas and didn’t look back. The 18-year-old hasn’t said much about his famous family since his February 2021 wedding, and he won’t comment anytime soon. In fact, followers of the Duggar family, the newlyweds, have noticed that despite being a bit active on social media, they have yet to comment on Josh Duggar’s arrest or his upcoming trial.
Justin Duggar and his wife, Claire Spivie, bought their first home
While the Duggar family is in a state of animation that has been suspended while Josh Duggar awaits trial, there is one family member who moves forward without worrying too much about his eldest Duggar son. Justin, 18, has been making great strides since moving to Texas in February 2021, and his brother’s arrest doesn’t seem to affect him at all.
According to The Daily Mail, 20-year-old Justin and Claire bought a home in September 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. The house seems to require very little labor, and it’s not clear if Justin and Claire planned to call this house. The house is under construction, like Justin, his family and many members of the social circle. Before the wedding, Justin repaired a house in Arkansas and later demolished it. He probably did the same with this property in Texas.
Critics of the Duggar family look to the 18-year-old as he buys a new home. They say Justin is not at all bothered by what is happening in Arkansas. After her wedding in February 2021, she will not be talking about her family. Justin never spoke openly about his brother’s arrest or the upcoming trial. He also apparently did not attend the bail meeting. Several other Duggars are believed to have entered digital hearing in May 2021.
But Justin has been a bit active on Instagram since his April 2021 arrest. In May, she shared photos of the wedding. While several of his brothers served as grooms, Josh was not one of them. In July, he announced James Duggar’s birthday. Claire also shared photos of life in Texas and has remained active on the social media platform. He also did not comment on Josh’s condition.
He is one of several married Duggars who did not make a statement
Justin seems hesitant to speak openly about Josh Duggar’s arrest because he is one of the few married Duggars who never spoke about the situation. At the very least, he’s one of the only Duggars to have activated it on social media.
Following his arrest in April 2021, Jill Dillard, Jessa Seewald, Jinger Vuolo and Joy-Anna Forsyth made a statement shortly after the news broke. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also came out with a statement representing the entire Duggar family. Their statement said they love both Josh and his wife, Anna Duggar. They thanked their fans for continuing their prayers.
Married men were significantly calmer. Josiah Duggar did not make a public statement, but it was to be expected. Josiah and his wife, Lauren Swanson, stood out from the crowd. Their Instagram accounts stopped working. John David Duggar and his wife Abbie Bernett shared photos on Instagram after Josh Duggar was arrested, but neither spoke directly about the charges. The same is true for Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Caldwell. Interestingly, John David spoke openly about Josh’s 2015 fraud scandal.
