An old tweet written by “Nope” director Jordan Peele has resurfaced and many fans think it inspired his new horror movie.

“Dreamt that a baby chimp attacked some people then ran to me and hugged me all scared,” the Oscar winner, 43, penned in 2014.

“I woke up with tears streaming down my face #bruh,” he continued.

The statement is eerily similar to what happened to the younger version of Steven Yeun’s character in a scene from “Nope.”

Other users started to reply to Peele’s ancient tweet, noting the social media post may have been when he started thinking up the alien thriller.

“Turn this dream into a movie 🎥,” a fan recently responded.

Another jokingly suggested: “Oh wow that sounds scary, you should write a script about that.”

“You should make a movie about this,” someone simply added.

“Nope” has raked in over $44 million at the box office since its debut on July 22.

Peele recently explained to Uproxx how “Nope” is the first sci-fi movie with a largely black cast.

Peele’s tweet is eerily similar to what happened to the younger version of Steven Yeun’s character in a scene from “Nope.”

“That is what happened,” the “Mad TV” alum said. “And I think the result of that is something that even, I think, surprised me. You come up with this nightmare, or this vision, and then you bring this team together.”

“And you launch into it full tilt with collaboration and the product ends up being even something surprising to me if it works out well. And it did this time,” he said.

“Knots Landing” icon Donna Mills made a surprise appearance in the horror flick, surprising many viewers. The 81-year-old TV star recently spoke to The Post about keeping her role as Bonnie Clayton under wraps for a long time.

“I’d signed an NDA, and I couldn’t tell anybody [about it],” Mills said. “I mean, I literally couldn’t tell my daughter. It was hard because everybody wanted to know, ‘What is it really about?’ People asked, and I said, ‘I’m really sorry, but nope!’”

She received the part by doing a self-tape audition, acting out a scene from the 2013 Cate Blanchett movie “Blue Jasmine.”

“I went, ‘Oh goodness, they’ve made a mistake!’ My agent called, and they said, ‘No, that’s the scene he wants her to do.’ He doesn’t send the script to anyone until they’re hired on the movie, and then you have to sign a big NDA,” Mills continued.

Peele was impressed by the “General Hospital” star’s acting chops. “He said, ‘Oh my God, that was the best audition! I’m gonna send you the script. If you like it, the part is yours.’ I thought to myself, ‘If I like it? I think I’m gonna like it,’” she said.
