MLW is preparing to go to court with WWE after the trial begins on Tuesday. “Bad Boy” Joey Janela is one of those wrestlers who knows he won’t support them. The AEW and GCW star, who worked with the organization in 2018, hit MLW and owner Kort Bauer on Twitter after it was announced that MLW was taking federal antitrust action against WWE.
According to MLW, WWE is claiming that in 2021 it will cancel the broadcast agreement between MLW and Tubi TV. In the same year, the head of WWE asked Vice TV to stop broadcasting MLW programs. No date has been set for the lawsuit. Janela said WWE (who called her “titan”) wanted to beat them in court.
This guy has a “No GCW” note on his new contracts because I called him because he used young talent. Hopefully, titanium will destroy them. I know it’s great to support a weak person with a big dog, but it’s not …
Joey Janela later quoted Giancarlo Dittamo on Twitter as asking how MLW could file for bankruptcy without paying its executors a low salary. Janela just replied with a “shh” laugh.
Since Joey Janela left in 2018, he has been sharply critical of MLW, particularly in terms of the organization’s pay structure. Janela said on Twitter that most MLW anthercards earned less than $ 3,000 a year in 2020, while the best stars earned only $ 10,000. You can find Joey Janela’s tweets below.
