Jim Ross thinks former WWE stars are a “weak argument” for saying too many AEW signs

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is a veteran of the pro-wrestling world because he is known as a commentator at WWE and has presented the most important moments in the history of pro-wrestling.

AEW made its Dynamite debut in October 2019, and since then, fans have sought to offer an alternative product to what they see at WWE. For the most part, this has been a success, but there is still much room for improvement.

One of the most common complaints from fans when it comes to AEW is the hiring of several former WWE Superstars. While talking to him Grill JR podcasts, Jim Ross appealed to fans, complaining that the AEW was simply hiring former WWE talent.

Jim Ross points out that this is weak evidence, and the main goal is to make sure the pro-business is healthy.

“It’s a weak argument,” he said. “They’re WWE lite.” I don’t agree with that and I’m not knocking WWE. I’ve had 26 great years there and I’m not against WWE. I don’t feel like we’re in a wrestling match. The war against our young men continuing to grow and improve is the AEW. I think we see that. Some kids who grew up at home are starting to find their own way. There is a big difference between working on a PWG or indie show and working on a game on national television. It’s a different idea and a different game ….. I just believe we have talent and I love watching it evolve. “

“We all want that – we all want the business to be healthy. If someone gets hot, it goes down. This is good for all of us. Everyone gets a share in all of this new or new zeal. I want the Honor Ring to be Good or Impact. I still love watching New Japan. They offer you great games. I’d like to see Okada at a major event to see a big payoff for AEW someday, and who says that can’t be? We have good relations with the new Japanese office. I think it’s like an action where the AEW can take part in big shows in New Japan when travel is reduced somewhere along the way. ”

As AEW’s recent acquisitions include Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black, the company may not stop hiring former WWE Superstars any time soon.
