Jannis Antetokounmpo will play the 5th game of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night as he over-extended his injured left knee in Game 4, the Milwaukee Bucks announced.
Antetokounmpo survived a major injury when no systemic injury to the knee was detected, confirming that all injuries were still intact. Still, the Bucks star can’t play with a 2-2 draw.
The two-time MVP withdrew from the fight against the alley after suffering a left foot injury in the third quarter of Game 4 on Tuesday. Antetokounmpo stood in court for a few moments before helping out in the locker room.
Milwaukee, who was 10 points behind at the time of the injury, lost Game 4 110-88.
On Thursday, Antetokounmpo covered social media Asking Milwaukee fans to be “loud” even when he’s not around.
Antetokounmpo showed the best play in this playoffs, averaging 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.
