Leon Edwards is one of the best fighters in the welterweight division and after his victory over Nate Diaz, he is very close to the championship shot. However, he made fun of his fans while talking about the fight against Conor McGregor.
“Everything happens with James English,” he said in an interview with James English for his YouTube channel. When the British asked him about a potential fight against Conor McGregor, Edwards replied:
“It’s probably. I’m going to be too big for him. I look like a natural half-middleweight, I don’t think Conor fought like a natural half-middleweight. whether it looks like he’s gained weight or he’s never looked like a middleweight. Yeah, that’s probably it. “
James then spoke about McGregor’s call for Kamaru Osman and his claim to win the UFC championship in three different weight classes. If Edwards wins the title, then the fight between Edwards and McGregor becomes a real opportunity.
“We also had the same manager. We had the same management team, so it’s going to be easy to do, but yes, I don’t think that’s going to be smart,” Edwards added.

An epic battle against Leon Edwards and his Nate Diaz
The British fighter has become one of the best fights of the year as he received MMA legend Nate Diaz at UFC 263. The fight distanced the distance and the crowd jumped from start to finish.
Edwards started strong in the first two rounds and outscored Dias. However, ‘Stockton Slugger’ is known as a slow starter and over time it has become a struggle. By the fourth round, Edwards had advanced to three rounds and had a very good look in the fight.
However, Diaz finally figured out Edwards’ time and started firing himself. In the final round, Nate Diaz rocked Leon Edwards with a left cross, turning the field upside down. Instead of going to the finish line, Diaz teased and laughed at Rocky.
Eventually he couldn’t find the finish line and Leon Edwards survived the remaining minute, defeating one of the sport’s biggest superstars.
