UFC heavyweight Alan Baudot explains why his training partner Cyril Gain will come out on top in the light heavyweight fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 265.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA spokesman Andrew Whitelow, he asked for his thoughts on how the fight between Bodod Gaine and Lewis would go. He stated:
“I think it’s an easy fight for Cyril. Cyril is smaller and lighter. He turns, he turns, he turns. His footwork is crazy. And I think Derrick punches the air.”

Bodo’s prediction of how the battle will end is reflected in each of Gain’s speeches. The Frenchman was often compared to the middleweight in terms of movement and speed. He defeated some of the UFC’s heaviest fighters in the fight for the championship, including teams like Alexander Volkov, Jairzinho Rosenstruik and Junior dos Santos.
Baudot discusses a possible event in Paris with titles like Gain and Ngannu
If Jane defeats Lewis at UFC 265, she will face off against reigning UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannu. Since both men are rooted in France, both men are waiting for the UFC Paris title.
Bodot’s team’s chances against Ngannu were less clear. This is not surprising as Ngannou pulled a heavyweight belt from Stipe Miocic earlier this year. Bodot Sportskeeda MMA ::
“I think this fight is great … I’m sure Cyril, but you know that one blow at a heavy weight will change your life.”
Baudo, who was born in France, was also asked if he wanted to play on a UFC card in Paris. He said it was his personal dream to compete in the UFC heavyweight division in France:
“Yes, it’s a big dream for me. I want my family, friends, fans to be in Paris. Come and show me. Let’s go!”
But for now, Baudot will compete in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. He will host Naskimento in the UFC Vegas 31 opening fight in hopes of winning his first victory in the UFC octagon.
