Oprah weighs in on Prince Harry, Meghan Markle attending King Charles’ coronation

Oprah Winfrey, the broadcasting icon and friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has weighed in on the possibility of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attending King Charles’ coronation.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Winfrey stated that she believes the decision should be entirely up to the royal couple. “I think everybody has first got to decide what is best for you,” Winfrey said. “No matter who you are, wherever you are in your life, what is the truthful answer and the truthful decision for you?”

Winfrey’s comments came as reports circulated that Prince Harry and Meghan may skip the coronation ceremony of King Charles, which is set to take place after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. The decision, if made, would be in line with the couple’s recent decision to distance themselves from the British royal family.

It has been a tumultuous two years for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since they announced their decision to step back from their duties as senior members of the royal family. Concerns around privacy, criticism from the press, and disagreements with other members of the royal family are believed to have led to their decision to move to the United States.

Despite this, the couple have remained in the public eye, with Markle’s recent interview with Oprah Winfrey generating headlines around the world. During the interview, Markle revealed details about her struggles with mental health, racist comments made by members of the royal family, and her relationship with Prince Harry.

Winfrey’s comments about the coronation ceremony suggest that she believes the couple should make a decision that is best for them, regardless of the expectations or opinions of others. It remains to be seen whether Prince Harry and Meghan will attend the coronation ceremony, but for now, it appears that the decision is theirs to make.
