Goldie Hawn reveals Harvey Weinstein, Madonna betrayal: ‘Don’t f–k with me’

Oscar-winning actress Goldie Hawn recently revealed in an interview that she was betrayed by two of the industry’s biggest names: Harvey Weinstein and Madonna.

Speaking to The Guardian, Hawn said she had a particularly difficult experience with Weinstein while working on the 1987 film ‘Swing Shift’. The film was produced by Weinstein’s company, Miramax Films, and Hawn says she felt unsupported by the producer during the shoot.

“I didn’t feel particularly protected, although I was working with him,” Hawn said. “I felt that there wasn’t enough attention paid to me. I think I upset him when I had to take time off because I was pregnant, and I had another baby at home. I think that was difficult for him to understand.”

The actress also spoke about her relationship with Madonna, which fell apart when Hawn decided to pull out of a proposed film project. Hawn says she was excited to work with Madonna, but ultimately realized she couldn’t commit to the project due to scheduling conflicts.

“She was so angry at me,” Hawn said. “She wrote this letter to me, saying ‘Don’t f–k with me, Goldie.’ Madonna and I had worked together before, and it was fine. But this time, it wasn’t meant to be.”

Hawn’s interview comes amidst the ongoing scandal surrounding Harvey Weinstein and his alleged decades-long history of sexual misconduct. Hundreds of women have come forward with stories of abuse and harassment at the hands of the producer, sparking a wave of similar accusations against other industry figures.

Hawn, for her part, says she’s not surprised by the scandal. “It’s not just Hollywood, it’s everywhere,” she said. “It’s a very, very sad thing. There’s no question about it.”

Despite the difficult experiences she’s had with Weinstein and Madonna, Hawn says she remains optimistic about the future of the industry. “The important thing is that all of this comes out, and that people pay attention,” she said. “We need to create a safe environment for everyone to work in.”
