Colby Covington continues to follow Dustin Poire in the UFC’s lightweight division. This time, the alleged contender in the lightweight category made it personal by involving his opponent’s wife and daughter.
KMA Covington in an interview with MMA journalist James Lynch asked Poirier to come to the welterweight division to fight him. Chaos said it hopes to resolve “personal issues” between him and his former partner who trained in the octagon. But if Povier refuses, Covington says:
“I hope they’ll be in the octagon one day. But if they don’t, then fans will know who Daddy is. And they’ll know I’m really Parker’s dad. Parker’s dad isn’t Dustin. I’m Parker’s dad and Jolie’s husband.” .
As it turns out, Dustin Poirier is expected to claim Charles Oliveira for the UFC lightweight title, while Colby Covington is expected to hold a championship rematch with welterweight champion Kamaru Osman. However, Covington believes the disagreement between himself and Poirier is a more lucrative fight for Diamond than a fight for gold.
“Agar [Dustin Poirier] if so, it would be a bigger money opportunity for him than to fight that guy (Charles Oliveira) who wants to fight him. You know, he doesn’t have a draw in America. No one even knows who he is in Brazil. It’s not just a draw; it does not sell for a fee for views. “If he wants to do good business, his best money opportunity is to come up to £ 170 and see Dad.”
Colby Covington wants to discredit Dustin Poire
Colby Covington recently released footage of Dustin Pirier dropping an amateur fighter during a sparring session. The semi-middleweight plaintiff claims the video is proof that Poirier is not a really good person. Covington shared the posts on his official Instagram account with the following headline:
“The guy who wears a full nerf-toothed head to protect his face and emotions is Poirier. The guy who has no hat, fight data and brain cells left is a ‘habib.’ @Prince Good guy? Bad boy? You judge “
Felipe Douglas, who saw the collapse by Diamond in the video, dismissed Covington’s statements as an attempt to tarnish Poire’s reputation. The Brazilian denied he was an amateur and added that he had several pro-fights under his belt.
