Manny Pacquiao is currently preparing for a fight with junior Errol Spence on August 21st. The fight continues despite a Paradigma Sports Management order defending Conor McGregor.
The paradigm’s objection to the fight stems from Pacquiao’s claims that they violated the terms of the contract once it was signed with them. When Paradigm and Pacquiao announced their partnership in 2020, both sides talked about a future battle between the Philippine megastar and McGregor.
However, since then, their relationship has broken down and both sides have accused the other of breaking promises.
With the end of this relationship, Pacquiao and McGregor’s chances turned to smoke.
Another proof of this was Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Rouch. When talk to U.S. sun the honorary coach made it clear that Pacquiao is looking for bigger and better opportunities than the former UFC champion.
“I have no interest in fighting an MMA fighter,” Roach said. “He wants to fight the best fighters out there.”
“If u [Pacquiao] He can’t be at that level in boxing, and then he doesn’t want to be in boxing, ”he continued. “He will retire and hopefully become the president of his country.
“If there’s another fight after that, it’s not McGregor, it’s going to be one of the best guys out there.
“It’s not going to be a guy from any other sport. Manny and George St. Pierre are friends and so on, but the sports aren’t compatible.
“I want to see good boxing and you get that from Mani Pacquiao. He’s always fought the best.”
Pacquiao’s last appearance in the ring was a July 2010 victory over Kate Thurman. He was preceded in death by 42-year-old Adrien Broner and Lucas Mattis.
These victories came in 2017 after an unexpected defeat to Jeff Horn.
McGregor’s lone boxing match is his fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017, which resulted in a technical knockout for the Irishman.
