Bray Wyatt has developed one of the most exciting characters WWE fans have seen in a long time. The mad religious leader of a madman living in a swamp has had great success in the company. His Fiend character has redefined what character work can be in wrestling.
WWE rewarded Windham Rotunda for his outstanding work in the ring and his ability to captivate audiences with his terrifying heroes. He made a lot of money to stay in the company. Before fans updated it, he was released and looked for new opportunities.
Now we know how much that big deal is worth. This week Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer compared the new WWE contract signed by Kevin Owens to Wyatt. In doing so, he revealed the terms of Wyatt’s final contract.
“It blinds 2-3 million people a year so much that they sign without realizing that it is a 90-day contract that is renewed daily at the discretion of the WWE. That’s how they got Windham Rotunda.
He was to be appointed for a term of 3 million, 3 years. They left for a period of 5 years. He grabbed it. They approached 4. He jumped on her. But it’s still a 90-day deal. And it will take less and less to start releasing with more numbers.
Rotunda traded hard. He sought a deal that would suit his needs. Unfortunately, Wyatt signed in good faith. He did not expect the company to release him. He never ended the deal.
Windham Rotunda has been quiet since releasing WWE. He gave some tips on his next move in the fight on social media. There is no clear word on his plans.
One thing is certain. Fans are eager to see the creative power of Windham return to the square circle. Time will tell when, where and when this will happen.
