Gabbi Petito’s family left for Wyoming on Wednesday to retrieve the remains of those killed in Long Island, the report said.
The 22-year-old’s body has been in Wyoming since she was found Sept. 19 in Bridger-Teton National Forest after a bad trip with her boyfriend, Brian Laundry.
The remains of Petito were released this week after the autopsy was completed, Acesparks reported.
Petito was strangled to death by hand and his death was declared a homicide.
Laundry, 23, who returned home without Petitos on Sept. 1, remains the only person interested in his disappearance and death and has been on the FBI wanted for nearly a month.
The laundry was only accused of illegally using Petito’s bank card.
Petito’s parents and step-parents held a memorial service for hundreds of people at Moloney’s funeral in Holbrooke on Sept. 26.
Teton County Judge Brent Blue said Tuesday that Petito’s body was handed over to a local funeral arrangement agreed with his family.
