Ryan Givens returns to television and this time he makes his way to Detroit.
FX announced on Friday that the Emmy-winning Justified series team is teaming up for a limited series called Justified: City Primeval. The network did not provide any schedule for recovery.
Timothy Olifant will again play the role of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a character created for the page by the late writer Elmar Leonard. The new story is inspired by Leonard’s crime novel, City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit.
In the limited series, Givens, who now lives in Miami and has a 14-year-old daughter, travels to Detroit after an accidental collision on a lone track in Florida.
Other heroes include Clement Mansell, a violent sociopath known as Oklahoma Wildman, and Caroline Wilder, a Detroit-based lawyer for Mansell.
According to the announcement, “These three characters will travel in the direction of a collision in the style of the classic Elmore Leonard to see who will come out of City Primeval alive.”
The original series, Elegant, based on Leonard’s novel Fire in the Hole, premiered in 2010 and ended in 2015. He has won several awards during his career, including two Emmys, Peabody, and the American Film Institute Television. year award.

Leonard was a leading force for “Elegant” executive producer Graham Yost, who was a consultant on the series until his death in August 2013 and was one of the producer members who returned for limited series.
Yost has WWED bracelets for the original actors and crew, which reminds me to think about “what Elmore would do”.
“There’s an old saw that should never meet heroes, and that applies, but not in Elmor,” Yost said. In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, which is part of the network in 2014. “It was a lot of fun to communicate with him and he had a great attitude towards life, work and writing.”
That same year, Olifant shared his memories of meeting Leonard for the first time in the Elegant film collection. Leonard liked the show a lot, even though he didn’t like Givens ’cowboy hat at first.
“He was just as great as they were,” Olifant said at the start of the show’s fifth season. “In the morning, he told me not to be afraid of losing my hat. He said, “You know, maybe the wind will blow and you won’t see it again.” I thought it was fantastic. “
Justified is one of the most acclaimed shows of the last decade, an adaptation of Elmar Leonard’s work, brought to life by Timothy Olifant in a very colorful way with Rylan Givens, Graham Yost and all the producers, writers, directors and other teams. actors, ”said Eric Shrier, president of FX Entertainment, in a statement about the new project.
“It’s very exciting to reunite this group with Tim in a new and different Elmar Leonard story as Raylan.”
Peter Leonard, son of Elmor Leonard, will be among the executive producers of the project.
