Francis Ngannu has figured out why he booked a temporary heavyweight title fight between UFC Cyril Gayne and Derrick Lewis, with Wild knocking out Stipe Miochich in the UFC 260 tournament.

The simplest explanation, Ngannu says, is that the UFC is actively trying to discredit him as a champion.

“Honestly, I don’t have that feeling,” Nganno told Ariel Helvani during a recent MMA watch.h / t MMA news). “I don’t know, I can make a mistake, but I don’t realize it because I think now the UFC is trying to discredit me. I know that. If someone promotes someone, they can’t work with defamation. You want to promote. You don’t do that to a dead person. “

Ngannu had a super fight against John Jones after his win over Miochich, but UFC President Dana White did his best to disrupt the match.

Ngannou returns to the octagon to win the heavyweight title at UFC 270 on Jan. 22 against former teammate Cyril Gaine.
