Former Mets CEO Zack Scott was acquitted in a White Plains city court on Thursday of all criminal charges arising from his arrest last summer for DWI.

The Mets fired Scott in early November after he took an administrative leave of absence from the team. Scott was arrested by White Plains police on Aug. 31 at 4:17 a.m. after he was found sleeping at the wheel of his car at an intersection. According to police, Scott failed the field vigilance test and refused a breathalyzer.

“I am just happy to be here. However, I regret the choice I made on August 31, which resulted in the circumstances that led to my arrest, ”Scott said in a statement. “I want to thank my lawyers, my friends, my professional colleagues and, most importantly, my family for supporting me in this process.

“Professionally, I am grateful to Sandy Alderson for the opportunity to manage baseball operations for the Mets and wish my former teammates only the best going forward.

“I believe this humble experience will make me a better husband, father, son, friend and leader, and I look forward to what the future holds.”
