On January 3, 2019, Brandi Rhodes was appointed CEO of All Elite Wrestling. At the time, the company was still in its infancy. Since then, it has become the second largest professional wrestling commercial in the United States.
Brandi has held several roles at AEW. She has just returned from maternity leave as a performer in the ring. She will also be photographed with her husband, Cody Rhodes, in the reality series Rhodes to the Top.
The official AEW Twitter account recently celebrated Brandi’s anniversary as a CBO. Many fans reacted negatively to this tweet. Many believe that he came to this work only because of kinship.
“Nepotism should be loved.”
“This day in history has shown that AEW nepotism is alive and well. Talk about not being worthy of your role and then prove it.
“I don’t want to sprinkle salt on an open wound, but most of the brand officers have a media outlet that looks at diversity, brand growth, new marketing opportunities, etc., but even on the AEW website (under News) it doesn’t show at all. Is there a real CBO case?
“Please keep him away from the show”
There were a few fans who supported Brandi Rhodes. Some of the responses fell into the “unimpressed” category.
The AEW fan base has been targeting Brandi since the early days of the company. Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to be able to escape the wrath of AEW loyalists. Below you can find an assortment of tweets.
