There are tales of this rabbit – and the horror story revolves around the late Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Palace.
Former Playboy rabbit and “Girls at the Next Door” reality star Bridget Markard, Heff’s 5.7-acre estate on Holmby Hills, California, is home.
“[There are] Stories about ghosts that have been around that palace for decades, “explained 48-year-old Markard, on Wednesday’s” Dark House “paranormal activity podcast.” I saw a woman. [appear in my bedroom]. “
Markard, who worked as one of Heff’s girlfriends from 2002 to 2009, says the ghost of the former housekeeper, along with her sister and best friend, happened next to the girl’s bedroom closet.
“My sister, myself and my friend Stacey were all sitting in my bed,” said one-time E! The network stapler said he bought a new puppy that day. “We were drinking a glass of wine and talking. The TV was on. Suddenly, out of the corner of our eyes, I saw a woman standing in my closet.”
But the former Playmate lost his body until he could take a good look at his uninvited guest.
“Of course, when I turned around, he was gone,” Marquardt said angrily, remembering the scene clearly, despite the moment.
“He had black, long-haired hair, he was very pale and very thin,” the blonde said. “And he was wearing a very big white T-shirt and acid-washable black jeans. He was staring at me.”
Still scary now, Markard denied being afraid to see. In fact, he claims to “know” the woman.
“Before I lived at home, I was invited to take the Playmate test, and I met a woman who was the social secretary of that house,” Markard said. “She was very friendly. She was like the mother of the house. She knew about all the pets and all the girls. She was just amazing.”
A few years later, when Markard entered the icon, he learned that the woman had died of cancer.
“I’m sure he was standing there,” he said. “I think he came home to see a new addition, a new pet that was there. [My dog] Wednesday. “
Marquardt recalled other horrific encounters on the $ 100 million property, such as how the doors would close or lock on their own, or how strange it would be when guests entered the home.
He even recalled telling Hefner that the original owner of the house had “collapsed, been pushed, or jumped,” and his spirit was touched here.
Markard, who divorced Playboy CEO a few years before his death in September 2017 at the age of 91, said Hefner’s ghost visited him in a dream shortly after his death.
“One day I had a dream, shortly after Heff’s death,” she said, adding that a few years before her death, she was not allowed to meet her ex-boyfriend and was not invited to the funeral. “It was like a dream I had never seen. It was so real.”
In his dream, he went to the car house and was greeted by a security house. But once we entered the house, the usual noisy accommodation was still empty.
“I could have said he left the house and he left, but I was there to see him,” Markard said. He said that even though the house was dark, he heard the horrible sounds of “old music from the 1940s.”
“And then all of a sudden [Hefner] comes down the stairs and he throws up his hands, ”Markard said.“ He gave me what he called his laughter, just like the big laugh he made. He said, “My dear!” He said. He hugged me, and I felt my hug. I could feel his jacket smoking. I could smell her cologne. It was very real. ”
He said their spiritual encounter gave him a sense of closure around Heff’s death.
“I felt like I was saying goodbye to him,” Markard said. “And he was fine.”
