Lightweight Johnny Walker has announced a positive test for Covid-19 for the second time in six months, but he believes the virus will force him to give up his next fight.

The Brazilian, who fought Jamahal Hill on February 19, posted the news on his personal Instagram account yesterday, telling fans there that he only felt slight symptoms.

“Covid 2, Johnny 0. I had a positive test for the second time. I got the Jansen vaccine two months ago, but I still got it. I am feeling flu-like symptoms for the last time. I took a break and took the opportunity to record it all and post it on my YouTube channel. My supplements, my diet, my symptoms. If you want to know everything about what I’m announcing this week, the link is in my biochemistry. Subscribe, it’s free. Don’t forget to wear a mask, my New Year was in quarantine. ”

After the post, Jang Walker was approached to find out if he wanted to leave the fight because the Brazilian test was positive. However, Johnny ignored the virus and even took the opportunity to make an unpleasant joke about Khamzat Chimaev’s long and difficult battle with Covid-19.

“Do I look like Hamzat Chimaev? It won’t be the little Covid that will force me to give up the fight. Said Walker.

Walker (18-6) in his last meeting in October 2021 unanimously overturned the decision against Tiago Santos. Earlier, 29-year-old Ryan Spann was knocked out in September 2020.

Now Walker is expected to fight Hill at UFC Fight Night 202 on February 19, in a place not yet determined by the promoter. So far, no major events have been officially announced for the card.
