Betty White kept her wonderful love for her late husband, Allen Ludden, for 40 years after her death.

Following the passing of the Golden Girl gem on December 31, California graphic designer Helen Stikler shared a series of viral tweets and announced that she had restored a photo of the late host of the retro show Password, Ludden. He died of stomach cancer in 1981 at the age of 63 – 99-year-old White has been kissing every day for the past 40 years.

“Betty White was holding a picture of her late husband, Allen Ludden, on her bed kiss her every morningStickler, 55, said in a New Year’s Eve tweet about the soon-to-be-lost TV show. “For more than 40 years, the painting has been extinct and I have had the privilege of restoring it. If there’s a next life, I hope he’s with his Allen #BettyWhiteRIP. “

White married Ludden in 1963, and in 1981 the playmaker refused to remarry after he died of stomach cancer.

In addition to graphic design, Stickler, an Emmy-winning writer, producer, and feature film director, shared a side-by-side rehabilitation at White’s memorable gift.

“Here, before and after the photo of Betty White’s lover Allen Ludden, I am restored for him Earlier this year, Stickler wrote, a dried photo of a smiling Ludden next to a lively updated photo. “It was an honor to be useful to this great lady. He sent me a nice thank you letter. ”

The handwritten note on an embossed stationary paper by Betty White reads in a note dated March 30, 2021: “Dear Helen, thank you so much for working so well on my girlfriend’s picture. It makes him a great treasure and I really appreciate it. Happy Easter and thank you again. The hottest, Betty. “

White’s agent and longtime friend, Jeff Vitjas, did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the sincere note.

But digital followers of the late Mary Tyler Moore show star have reacted richly to Stickler’s Twitter comments to his sweetly written correspondence.

“I love it so much. A handwritten note is a lost art and such a beautiful pen, ”said one of the white fanatics. “Look at this pen! It’s amazing. It can be said that he grew up before he wrote everything. “Very elegant!” Cried another. “What beautiful pen he was still 99 years old! “said another.

White, who was twice married to Ludden in 1963, mentioned his name just minutes before his death on Friday for natural reasons, said his colleague in “My Mother’s Family,” Vicky Lawrence.

White's last word was said
White’s last words were “Allen” on Dec. 31 before he died of natural causes.

Legendary comedian Carol Burnett, 72, told PageSix exclusively that she would share a text message with 88-year-old White about Ludden’s latest homage to him.

“I texted Carol and said,‘ That’s too bad. I hate that. It’s horrible to see the people you love so much leave, ”Lawrence recalls. “Carol replied and said,‘ I know, I know. I spoke to Betty’s assistant, who was with her as she passed by, and she said the last word that came out of her mouth was “Allen.”

Lawrence continued, “How sweet is that? I said, “It’s so sweet. God, I hope this is true. I hope it’s a good idea for all of us. “

White, who never remarried after Ludden’s death, explained his decision to remain faithful to his beloved lover in a 2011 interview with the Daily Mail.

“Once you get the best, who needs the rest?” He said. “I made two mistakes in front of Allen, but the love in your life doesn’t happen in every life, so I’m so grateful I found him.”
