Stranger things star David Harbor hated the show dog so much that he asked to destroy it.
On a cooking show soon Interested, Harbor, who plays Jim Hopper in the show, said the Byers family doesn’t like pets Chester very much.
“I hated that damn dog so much,” he said. “Take it after you get it. He would get lost or do something.”
Harbor was furious with the dog’s coach. “I said,‘ You know, Byers probably had to put the dog to sleep next season, ’” he said.
Although he did not meet with the Chester manufacturer, it was not turned on Stranger things since.
“We’ll never talk about it, the rest of the show,” he said. “One of the next seasons we’ll have to find him on the reverse side.”

Elsewhere, Harbor has made it harder to play characters that have appeared in Russian prisons. Hopper finds himself was imprisoned in a Soviet prison near Stranger things third season.
