The couple returned to the ballroom after being diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19).

Fans took to Instagram to express their concern about the unfair criticism of the couple. In the comments section, they cited the additional efforts of Burke and Rigsby to dance remotely and in tandem. They also claimed that dancing when they were coronavirus should have given them some compassion from the panel. Eventually, the voices of the audience kept the couple in the race for another week.

Rigsby: “I think we deserved something better”
“It’s hard to put everything in place and then make an assessment like that. I think we deserved something better,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“But I’ll read it tonight and let it go because we have to pump up and move on.”
She admitted that she and Berk were still at a disadvantage in preparation for this week’s dance.
“For most of the training week, we’re still in quarantine. So we learned two dances through zoom calls.”
Dancing with the stars On Tuesday, October 12, a special episode will air, where contestants will perform as Disney villains. This live show will air on ABC TV at 20:00 EST.
