Hundreds of Cuban American protesters blocked a major highway in Miami on Tuesday, urging President Biden to do more to support the Cuban people.

“We need Biden’s support,” a man with the Cuban flag tied behind his back told Acesparks. “We weren’t supported by the president. So we’re trying to fight communism, to fight it.”

Heavy rains could not stop most of the turnouts when police arrived on the highway. The crowd shouted “SOS Cuba” as they blew the horns of cars that were forced to stop.

Anti-government protests began in Cuba on Sunday as the communist island-state faced an economic crisis. At least 100 protesters, including activists and journalists, were arrested. Acesparks reported.

BIDEN CUBA PRESIDENT PROTECTS CUP PROTESTERS

“Biden, you have to listen to the people here, the officials who are Cubans and know best for the people in Cuba,” a woman wearing a T-shirt with her head covered in the rain told Acesparks in Miami. “So listen to us and try to get together to see what we can do.”

Biden praised the Cuban protesters on Monday.

“We stand with the Cuban people and, with their clarifications, call on the people to be free and free from the tragic embrace and decades of repression and economic suffering that the authoritarian regime of Cuba has faced,” Biden said.

DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS DO NOT IGNORE THE CUBAN PROTESTERS AGAINST THE COMMUNIST DICTATORSHIP.

Biden’s statement comes after Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel claimed that the United States was funding the protests.

“We are facing a huge genocide in Cuba,” a man holding an umbrella and wearing a beaded necklace with the Cuban flag on it told Acesparks. “Joe Biden needs to help us. We’re asking the White House to speak in favor of the Cuban people, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

The man said the Biden administration should do more than verbal support.

“I think there are a lot of things they can do to help us. We’re asking for international help,” he said.
