CM Punk hasn’t fought since January 2014, but he wants to break that series. He is considering a return to pro-wrestling, and we have new information on how far this deal will go.
As previously noted by Fightful Select, AEW is the platform for CM Punk. Acesparks can confirm that the negotiations are currently too long. In fact, we were told it was almost a “fulfilled deal”.
According to one source, CM Punk’s agreement to work at the AEW is “work in progress”. At the moment, they are “waiting for them to sign a contract in person.”
CM Punk’s debut date has not been confirmed, but it would be hard to believe that if possible, the AEW would take the opportunity to hire a Second City Rescuer in Chicago. If CM Punk doesn’t get out of the deal, it will happen as planned.
Aside from the two-masked game, CM Punk hasn’t made a move in support of the fight in front of fans in the last decade. It will be very interesting to see how AEW applies CM Punk to the picture. As we reported earlier, the previous feeling was this: games and rivals mean more to him than money.
