Can you spot the cash in this optical illusion?

After all the valuable time we’ve sacrificed to our screens, isn’t it about time the mountain of devices we’ve invested in over the years paid us back?

A new optical illusion hyped by online tech resale site MusicMagpie is giving screen addicts a chance to finally unload those outdated iPods and mobile phones we never use anymore — but definitely still have hiding in the back of our closets.

The brand has released new data claiming that the average household has more than $600 worth of old devices just laying around their homes. So why not make a brain teaser out of these old things?

In this image you’ll find over-the-ear headphones, iPods, CDs (yes they still exist) and other gadgets. The twist is the hidden pile of money that blends in with the green iPods.

Be warned: This search could be a hard one, as MusicMagpie reported that only 70% of people can find the stack of cash in under 45 seconds. However, if you spot the hidden stack of cash it in under 32 seconds you’ll set a new record.

[Warning: Spoilers Below]

Here’s a hint: Stick to the left side of the image.

Considering all the tech we pay for today, MusicMagpie has created a brain-bending search-and-find puzzle to get people to trade in their tired devices for cash.

Still stumped? Scroll down if you give up.

If you’re looking for more visual challenges, try this brain teaser and see if you have a high IQ. Plus, viewers on TikTok loved this one, inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo, in which you need to find 25 animals in under two minutes.

Search-and-find puzzles such as this are mostly viewed as a lighthearted diversion from the stresses of modern life — but they also hold actual scientific value for medical professionals. These brain teasers and optical illusions are now credited with helping researchers shed light on the complex inner workings of the human mind and how it reacts to its surroundings.

Dr. Gustav Kuhn, a psychologist and human perception expert at Goldsmiths University in London, once declared that illusions are important to our understanding of the brain: “We typically take perception for granted, and rarely think about the hard work that underpins everyday tasks, such as seeing a cup of coffee in front of you.”
