Lionel Messi is currently a free agent and is signing a new contract at Barcelona. The Argentine could join any club in the world, but the Catalans believe he will soon sign another contract with them.

Barcelona will not be able to register new players until they have significantly reduced their salaries. The Catalans signed free transfers with Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay, and placed the burden on Junior Firpo, Francisco Trinkao and Mateus Fernandez.

But their salaries are still above the limit set by La Liga and the club is actively working on lending and selling some of its players.

When tested Sports world President Joan Laporta said he was pleased with how the situation was developing in relation to Messi’s position in the contract.

“[Lionel] Messi? The message is peace and patience. Sometimes you have to play a marble game. Everything will be OK. Professionals are doing a good job. “

“We’re very happy with how things are going, but you already know it’s a special market that requires patience and skill. But as summer progresses, I’m sure we’ll get the good news.”

“We often have to explain [the economic controls] agents and players don’t know about it or think clubs are cheating on them, and we’ve had to explain that in recent years. “
