Baker Mayfield’s wife, the Browns, can’t bear to put all the blame on the fans in the team’s fight.
Emily Mayfield (Neil Wilkinson) targeted Cleveland supporters in an expired note posted to her Instagram story on Monday.
“Wake up on Sunday for the ‘fans’ who only blame Baker for the loss. It was a hell of a game and it could have gone either way. He left it all on the field,” he wrote to the Browns on Sunday. About losing at -42.
“You don’t really know what’s going on. I’ve seen him give his all and change his whole culture at CLE, but he doesn’t pay much attention to it.”
“He never asks for confession and continues to lift weights all day despite hatred. If you’re a real fan, support our guys, Baker and others. Hate is never for them. does nothing. ”
On the second slide of his Instagram story, he shared a photo of the quarterback on the field with the caption “Next”. The Browns (3-2) will host the Cardinals (5-0) on Sunday.
Mayfield’s note came a few days after she defended her husband in a separate post on Instagram. During Sunday’s defeat, Mayfield moved 235 to 32nd, 305 yards, two assists and zero catches. He was fired once.
It was recently reported that Mayfield was playing through a partially torn labrum (non-playing shoulder) on his left shoulder. He wore a shoulder strap to support him.
The couple tied the knot in a stunning Malibu ceremony in July 2019.
